Chicago's Laurenzi/Ernst/Green & Dave Miller Quartet present a night of improvised music!
Laurenzi/Ernst/Green is making its Brooklyn debut on May 11, 2014! We're also excited to announce that incredible Brooklyn guitarist Dave Miller will be sharing the bill!

LAURENZI/ERNST/GREEN (Chicago, IL)
"...three imaginative and gifted artists..."
"...seamless and intuitive camaraderie..."
-All About Jazz
Floating somewhere between jazz, indie rock, and minimalism, Laurenzi/Ernst/Green has developed a distinct group sound that balances intricate compositions and uninhibited improvisation with a strong melodic core. Featuring tenor saxophonist Dustin Laurenzi, bassist and vocalist Katie Ernst, and drummer Andrew Green, the trio has established itself as a unique and valuable asset to Chicago's vibrant music community. All About Jazz praised the group's debut album 'Sightline' (2013) as "bold in its youthful energy, sophisticated in its thematic unity...fresh, enjoyable and exciting."

DAVE MILLER (Brooklyn, NY)
Guitarist, Dave Miller, built a very impressive and wide-ranging roster of collaborations in the short amount of time he spent in Chicago. From the traditional to the avant-garde, the concert hall to the dive rock bar, Miller leaves no musical stone unturned. Miller relocated to New York City in 2011 to further develop his career in music. In addition to his sought-after, genre-defying talents in guitar performance, Miller has also become respected and heralded as a serious composer, mainly from the output of his experimental indie rock group, Algernon, whose new album, "Ghost Surveillance," was just released on Cuneiform Records. Miller is also a member of, among other bands, the Greg Ward Quartet, the John McNeil Quartet, Ted Sirota's Rebel Souls (Delmark/Naim Records), Zing! (ears&eyes Records), blink. (Thirsty Ear Records), W. W. Lowman (Arbouse Recordings), and Tim Daisy's New Fracture Quartet (Multi Kulti Records).
