WINTER LAIKE is a self-proclaimed butch sissy, tenderqueer, and awkward weirdo (awk-queer-do?) who expresses himself through music, baking, and anti-oppressive baby animal memes. His current musical projects are a manifestation of his fascination with voyeurism of hopeless, unrequited adoration, reclaiming power over fucked up dreams rooted in the systems of oppression, and a desperate attempt to entertain himself during health-related confinement.
AUDREY ZEE WHITESIDES is a poet and musician born in Elizabethtown, Kentucky. Her poetry and cultural writing has appeared or is forthcoming in/on Autostraddle, WONDER, and Bone Bouquet among others, and she's the author of several DIY chapbooks. She also leads Brooklyn trans punk band Little Waist.
KELLI DUNHAM (kellidunham.com) is everyone's favorite ex-nun genderqueer nerd comic. Kelli was one of Velvet Park Magazine’s 25 Significant Queers of 2011 and was named to the 2012 Campus Pride Hotlist. Kelli was also given the The Fresh Fruit Festival Award for Distinction in stand-up comedy, although Kelli has never before or since been called distinguished. Kelli is a registered nurse and the author of five books of humorous non-fiction, including two children’s books being used by Sonlight conservative home schooling association in their science curriculum. Kelli's fifth book, Freak of Nurture, a collection is humorous essays that none other than lesbian comedy godmother Kate Clinton called “laugh out loud outrageous storytelling” is just out from Topside Press and caused author Barbara Carellas to give Kelli the moniker “the David Sedaris of the genderqueer dyke world”. Kelli has three released three comedy CDs: "I am NOT a 12 Year Old Boy" "Almost Pretty" and "Why Is the Fat One Always Angry" all which are on regular rotation on Sirius/XM Satellite Radio's Rawdog Comedy Station and Pandora's Margaret Cho Comedy Station. Kelli was recently the expert on “What Is Normal” in Twist Magazine (known as Tiger Beat's little sister magazine), on a page facing a full color poster of Justin Beiber. There isn't even a ironic statement to match that, it's just strangely true.
BLUE MIME KHANIKE /Jenny Romaine/ The customs of Khanike include telling stories (of cultural resistance and otherwise) , bringing light into your home in the middle of winter (lighting candles), playing dreydl (a spinning top gambling game) singing songs, and cooking up foods in lots of hot sizzling oil.

Heels on Wheels is a group of interdisciplinary performing artists who create performance-based cultural works and community events that have a feminist and radical agenda, are produced from sites of femme/inine-positive queer embodiment, and reveal the power in under-represented communities.
Our events use theatre to incite wonder, joy, critique, and dialogue; to bring visibility and complexity to diverse experiences; and to strengthen LGBTQ cultural communities in NYC and beyond.
We are a multiracial & working-class led queer organization committed to anti-oppression and activism as art, as well as in our art.
