Saturday 02.23.13 Queer Country Monthly Tonight! With Molasses Gospel, the Momos and Justin Vahala!

Hey there cowpeople, it's time for the February Queer Country Monthly! Come on down to the Branded Saloon this Saturday, February 23rd and hear some beautiful music.

First up, hailing from the bright lights of Dallas, we have Justin Vahala whose unicorn folk is a blend of country, Americana, and Lilith Fair realness. Next, we have the MoMos, who like to drink whiskey and tell tall tales concerning crickets and birds. Their twangy garage music will have your feet a tappin'. And then it's Molasses Gospel: lesbian starchild rises from brackish waters, stirring muck from the depths. Turbid tales, queer grief for atheists.

We start at 8:00 and the door is a $5, but no one ever turned away for lack of funds. Also, there is always a bucket of free candy for people who like candy.

WHEN: Saturday, February 23rd, doors at 8:00 pm
WHERE: Branded Saloon, 603 Vanderbilt Avenue at the corner of Bergen Street, Brooklyn
DOOR: $5 (but no one ever turned away for lack of funds)

Read on for more info about the bands and your hard-working queer country team below. Hope to see you all soon!
