One Mighty Ugly Backpack Presents:Molters, Bombers, No TV Tonight, Doug(Vansaders)Acoustic
One Mighty Ugly Backpack has been booking shows in Brooklyn, Manhattan, and Long Island for over a year now. Chris Andrews, the man behind it all has his roots in the Long Island Punk, Hardcore, Ska, and Indie Rock scene since 1995. Now he and OMUB plan to unite the Long Island, Brooklyn, Queens, and Manhattan scenes by bringing you the best of underground bands in all genres.
Dan Strauss first began performing in the early 90s and has only amped it up after crossing the 40 threshold. In and out of bands and Simon & Garfunkle-esque duos, Dan returned to his Brooklyn roots in 1997 and became a mainstay on the singer-songwriter scene, performing regularly at such venues as The Living Room, Rockwood Music Hall, CBGB's 313 Gallery, and The Knitting Factory. Over the years, he has become a favorite NYC and Hudson Valley songsmith, writing intimately across a variety of musical styles. Whether drawing inspiration from the hooks and harmonies of The Beatles, American blues-folk of the Band or moody art rock of Bowie and The Smiths, Dan finds a way to tell stories in a pure and straightforward way that connects deeply with listeners and fans.
