All Hallows Eve - $100 Cash Costume Contest
Friday,October 31ST @ 10 PM
Live Music by Paprika, $100 Cash Costume Contest, Halloween Games with tons of great prizes hosted by various performers from B Productions
There is no place like Branded Saloon to celebrate the Halloween Season. Designer Tammy Kopko transforms the quaint Brooklyn watering hole into a creepy, corn stalked filled setting draped with wooden crosses and disturbing life size figurines built by Kopko. Before bringing her ghoulish expertise to NYC, Kopko worked with designers from Universal Studios Halloween Horror Nights in Orlando, Florida for eight seasons . "My design for Branded was inspired by a collection of ideas from various Horror Films", Kopko says. " I remember seeing movies like "Deliverance", "I Spit On Your Grave" and  "Children of the Corn"  when I was a kid and loving the rush I would get from being scared. I tried to recreate those childhood feelings in my design". Kopko's Installation will be up till November 2 at Branded Saloon, Brooklyn.

Show & Tale: Scars, Tats & Piercings
6:30pm
Join me for an evening of telling the stories etched into our skins.
Many of us are physically changed. Some by our own design (to commemorate that new found love; to forget that painful break-up; to show the world your allegiance to an author, a musician, a way of thinking). Some by our own run-in with an accident or mistake (like that time you had the situation with that car window) or an illness. And some by our need to just change.
With these changes come stories. Come show us your life story etched into your skin! Of course you are welcome to simply come to look & listen.

Karaoke Tuesdays at 10 PM with the Jared Michael Gniewek Karaoke Warzone (front room)
10:00pm
The irreverent and raucous Jared Michael Gniewek Karaoke Warzone has been destroying popular music since 2010 when ex-metal singer and comic book
writer, Jared Michael Gniewek, began substituting for Bay Area karaoke
icon, KJ Paul. Upon leaving San Francisco, a fundraiser was held by
both enthusiasts and professionals alike to start the Warzone, sending him off to New York City saying “show
them how we do it.” His events consist of a positive and
jovial environment where people celebrate what karaoke is all about,
transforming pop music into folk music and making extroverts go too far.

Underground sounds of the island of enchantment featuring legendary Puertorican shoegaze band Un.Real, and Philly's post Punk Veterans stellarscope
9:00pm
Philadelphia post punk veterans Stellarscope are a well structured band, with the experience behind them to take on new directions and challenges whilst retaining the core of the output. Their latest album titled 'The end is near, I'm not prepared' is scheduled for release in March 2014. On their new record their focus was to create more sonically charged fast paced postpunk indiepo shoegaze anthems that would appeal to a broader audience. Their music has appeared in many compilations and tribute albums, documentaries as well as on MTV, A&E, Discovery Channel, Alli Sports TV, and more. For fans of wavves, a place to bury strangers, the jesus and mary chain, the ramones, manhattan love suicides, etc.

The Vacant Stalls
11:00pm
It's rare to hear a band that doesn't sound like anything you've ever heard, and rarer still to hear one that also puts a smile on your face. How many great bands turn their backs on putting out the same old shit only to release records so calculatingly 'out there' they feel like math homework? They forget that music is supposed to be fun. The Stalls will never forget. With a touch of 50s Rock & Roll, 60s Psych, 70s Punk, 80s New Wave and 90s Nostalgia, The Vacant Stalls channel the past but sound like little else right now; a band searching for rediscovery unfortunately situated in the constantly-shifting present.

Talking Band presents The Golden Toad, Part IV - Written and Directed by Paul Zimet. Songs by Ellen Maddow and Elizabeth Swados

Since its founding in 1974 by Paul Zimet, Ellen Maddow, and Tina Shepard--all former members of Joseph Chaikin's seminal Open Theater--The Talking Band has remained a cornerstone of New York City's avant-garde theater community. Ben Brantley of The New York Times recently called them "one of the boldest and most venerable politically minded companies in New York experimental theater." American Theater magazine has deemed them "one of the most exceptional theater companies in the country." The Golden Toad exemplifies the Talking Band's artistry. Written Ellen Maddow and Paul Zimet, and directed by Zimet, and featuring songs by Ellen Maddow and Elizabeth Swados, the work investigates the essence of character and identity, tracking a diverse set of characters over years and shifting circumstances

Jackie Paladino
11:30pm
Born in New York and raised in central New Jersey, Jackie Paladino is a 21-year-old singer-songwriter whose voice has been compared to the likes of Amy Winehouse, Billie Holiday, and Adele. She was introduced to the piano at the age of six, and developed her understanding of storytelling and performance through off-Broadway theatre, dance competitions, and musical vocational school. It wasn't until Jackie returned to her birth state to attend the music theatre program at NYU's Tisch School of the Arts that she discovered her true calling. "When everyone else was memorizing lines to songs and stories, I was writing my own stories through song, belting out the tunes of Etta James, Duffy, and Regina Spektor along the way." Always an avid reader of poetry, she found herself delving deeply into the works of Leonard Cohen and Fiona Apple, entranced by the precision and mystery of their word choice. As an artist, Ms. Paladino seeks to combine this sense of lyric perfectionism and her urgency to "mold the ugly into something beautiful" along with the power and soul of her favorite songstresses. She is a Bloomworld Music Artist and is managed by Hakim Bell.

Professor Gall
10:30pm
A Tincture of Junkyard Folk and Steampunk Jazz'. Professor Gall seeks to uncover the contradictions of an ambiguous and native-less society, 'dreaming the existentialists' dream', while at the same time pleading for individualism, peace, and more fun at funerals. The Portland, Oregon conglomerate starts with Drew Norman on vocals, guitar, percussion stomp box and banjo, who brings his theatrical experience to the musical stage and is responsible for the initial musical and lyrical embellishments. Drew's recent side roles include the 'Husband' in the stage and movie version of Sally Tomato's TOY ROOM(Severe Enterprises), a rock opera that won accolades from The Heart of England Film Festival, studio recordings and live shows with Will West, Kory Quinn, Orchestre L' Pow and the Wanderlust Circus. Scott Johnston heads up the first chair position for the horn section, arranging charts and providing his saxophone alchemy. Rounding out the ensemble is Monte Skillings on trombone, John Stewart(Live Wire, Storm Large), Sean Hudson(Orchestre L' Pow) on stand-up bass, Don Henson(Sneakin' Out)and Andrew Alikhanov(Chervona) on clarinet. Critical acclaim for their first full length CD 'Intravenous Delusion' has enabled Professor Gall to become a regional favorite, sharing the stage with semi-national/national acts like The Devil Makes Three, Eric McFadden Trio, Slim Cessna's Auto Club, Billy Nayer Show, Vagabond Opera, the Dandy Warhols and Sleepytime Gorilla Museum at venues throughout the West Coast as well as festivals and conventions like the Folklife Festival (Seattle,WA), Gearcon (Portland,OR), Teslacon (Madison,WI) and Steamcon( Bellevue, WA)Wild Wild West Steampunk Con (Tucson,AZ). The band released in March of 2010 their sophomore release entitled 'The Psychology of Booze and Guilt' to rave reviews. PG's third release, 'Magnetic Roots' came out on April 20th, 2013. Professor Gall was recently featured by Seattle's City Arts Magazine as the Portland, Oregon representative of the National Steampunk Movement, along with the Dresden Dolls (Boston), Abney Park (Seattle) and Unwoman(San Francisco). 'Hailing from Portland, this group brings one word to mind: eccentricity... the group achieves a gritty and unnerving carnival feel, as if the Mad Hatter were the ringmaster.' Full Steam Ahead Article, Matt Hammond & Jennifer Tate , Seattle's City Arts Magazine, October 31, 2010 'With blaring horns and a sideshow barker's twisted way with words, there is a sinister carnival feel to Booze and Guilt (somewhere between Ray Bradbury's Something Wicked This Way Comes and Bikini Kill's ode to carnies and Mötley Crüe mirrors, "Carnival"), If a haunted midway is your thing, Professor Gall just made your day. If not, stay the hell out of the big top.' Ezra Ace Caraeff, The Portland Mercury ' Norman's voice recalls Tom Waits' or Nick Cave's, while the instrumental lineup suggests a killer New Orleans jazz band going interestingly off-track harmonically.' Michael Upchurch, The Seattle Times, Concert Preview 'Norman's songs, which blend a mix of influences from klezmer to jazz and junkyard folk, are also unusually sweet and sincere.' Michael Mannheimer, Wweek 'This Portland collaborative effort prides itself on being the good kind of weird as they mash up old-timey, sometimes Vaudevillian but mostly joyous swing numbers...sounds like something you'd find on Tim Burton's iPod' The Source Weekly , Bend, OR 'No romp through the Bridge City's underpasses would be complete without Professor Gall, the living avatar of cheap whiskey. Astride his mighty stomp box, the Professor and his banjo lead a streetwise horn section in an ongoing siege of the straight life' Noah Michens of the Wanderlust Circus 'It's not a sailing vessel, mind you, it's a riverboat. There's crazy cajuns wailing Hasidic Dixie niguns in a smoky, pre-flood 4th Ward dive. There's cool jazz cats backing a honky-tonk cowboy aboard a beer bottle prairie schooner.' from review of Magnetic Roots,SP Clarke The GOOD, the BAD and the UGLY

Traveling Broke and Out of Gas
9:00pm
Led by the sultry vocals of Rachael Yanni and cerebral songwriting of Cody Hall, Traveling Broke and Out of Gas gives their audience a meaningful and sometimes surreal experience that leaves the listener inspired, excited, surprised, and always wanting more. Originally formed as a husband and wife duo that traveled the country playing for strangers on street corners, living rooms, and campfires, Traveling Broke and Out of Gas, now with four band members, has an ever changing folk/blues/rock/country style and sound that has been appropriately labeled 'Bastard Americana'. As a touring band, Traveling Broke keeps the attention of their fans with a wide variety of original songs filled with instrumental diversity and lyrical magic. During a live performance you will see band members trade instruments or pick up a new one in the middle of the set; it all becomes part of the show. . With dozens of original songs, three full length albums, and national and regional tours under their belt, Traveling Broke and Out of Gas is not slowing down anytime soon. Look out for them in your town, because they are coming; be it in a coffee house, dive bar, stadium, concert hall, or street corner.

Brenden Starr
10:00pm
Brenden Starr, a rising pop/rock star out of Hanover, has been conquering the Pennsylvania-based club circuit for well over five years. Starting as a drummer and singer for local pop/punk and hard rock bands, Brenden grasped the confidence and experience he needed well before he hit his prime. From there, he was quickly becoming one of the hardest-working pop acts around, as he found himself as a qualifier for X Factor and American Idol in Season 7. It wasn't long before he gained interest from LA-based talent agents that he got invited to audition as a backup singer for Lady Gaga in 2010. After a myriad of well-received club shows, Brenden took his songs to the studio and released his EP titled "New Beginnings" in the summer of 2012. After selling 1000 copies on his own, and a run of successful shows in PA, MD, VA, and more... Brenden was nominated for the 7th annual 717 Entertainment Awards Show for Best Male Vocals, and his song "Rooftops" was voted to be on the 17th Millennium Music Conference Compilation disc in 2013. After signing a management deal with Star Crossed Artist Group (who have worked with Third Eye Blind, Fuel, Eve 6, and more) in 2014, and with opening stints with Saving Abel and Nine Days on the horizon, the future is bright for this soon-to-be "starr".
